Our Philosophy

Ask Ariel was created in order to help you heal your pets using natural holistic alternatives.  Our primary goal is to provide you with the education and tools so that you can give your pet and yourself the very best in natural care.  To this end, we are very concerned about your satisfaction and want to make sure you are comfortable with your purchase decisions.  Please feel free to contact us at any time with any questions either by phone or email.  No question should remain unanswered---just Ask Ariel!

On our website, you will see many wonderful, beautiful photos of pets and children.  Most of the pets pictured are rescued animals that were once in jeopardy of euthanasia.  Now, they are safe at home with loving families who adore them.  Ask Ariel is a strong advocate for the rescue of homeless animals and encourages you to look on www.petfinder.com the next time you are looking for a new pet.  Your purchase supports our animal rescue efforts as a portion of our profits are donated to Ariel Rescue, www.arielrescue.com a non-profit charity dedicated to saving the lives of shelter dogs in impoverished shelters in Southern California.

We are very concerned about the proper and safe usage of our products.  If we do not feel, for any reason, that the products are appropriate for your pet or that products should be sold without a paid consultation first, we reserve the right to withhold the sale of the products.  Ask Ariel reserves the right to refuse products and services.

Order Changes or Cancellations--All Sales Are Final

All sales are final due to the sensitive and perishable nature of the supplements.  Please be careful when selecting products!!!   If you need to change or cancel an order, please contact us immediately by phone at 949-499-9380.  If your order has not yet shipped (generally ships within a few hours after the order is placed) we will try to accomodate your request.  If your order has shipped, we are sorry but we cannot cancel the order.

Occassionally, pet owners may not discover our products until their pets are near death.  They may wait additional time before ordering and by the time the products arrive, their pet is deceased and/or unable to take the supplements.  This is a terribly unfortunate circumstance.  We understand your frustration and encourage you to consider this possibility before placing your order.  If this is a concern to you, then it may be best to forego your order.

Please note:  Once an order is shipped, it is considered "sold".   Failing to pick up a delivered order either at VCA Arroyo or via the US Postal Service, does not circumvent our purchase policy noted above.  Our products are perishable and we want to give all pet owners the freshest, purest products. We won't send you products that have sat at someone's home or been returned so that we cannot guarantee their purity and effectiveness.  We unfortunately encounter circumstances where a pet owner does not wish to pick up their order from the post office and thereby tries to return the items this way.  We do not accept returns and ask you to please consider this information carefully before making a purchase.

Deliveries
All orders are shipped to the shipping address.  Please be careful to indicate if the shipping address differs from the billing address.  We use a delivery confirmation receipt on most packages.  If you do not receive your order within 1 week's time, please call us at 949-499-9380.  We will help you research the package using the delivery confirmation.  If the delivery confirmation receipt shows that the package was delivered, there is little more that we can do.  We can work with the Post Office to research its whereabouts but if the delivery confirmation shows that the package was delivered to the shipping address, we will NOT replace the package without additional payment for a replacement order.  Failing to pick up an order does not constitute a return.  We guarantee freshness and purity of our products so that they can best help your pets.

Consultation Availabililty

If you order a consultation, you will be contacted via email within 24 hours of potential consultation times.  Please watch your emails for this communication.  Once an appointment time has been established, Susan Davis will call you at the phone number you provided.   If you selected a combination appointment with Dr. Gordon, you will be instructed how to contact him for your appointment.  Please note we have a 24 hour cancellation policy.  Failure to cancel an appointment within 24 hours prior to your appointment time will result in a charge of the entire consultation fee.  If you are not available for the agreed upon consultation time and/or decided to cancel in less than 24 hours prior to the appointment, you will be charged the entire consultation fee.  This is because Susan Davis and/or Dr. Gordon research your case in advance and in addition, saves the scheduled time for you. 

Telephone Orders

Orders must be placed using our secure online system.  Please do not be concerned about the security of our website as we have implemented numerous quality control procedures to protect your secure information.  We use state of the art firewalls to ensure that client credit card and address information is completely protected.  We do not EVER sell client information to outside third parties.  However, we are not able to process telephone orders.  Please do not call us and ask us to process your order by phone.  For your protection, we only accept online orders to ensure that the actual credit card holder is placing the order and using the proper security codes.  This also ensures that there are no misunderstandings in terms of store policies regarding returns, shipping time and sizes/products ordered.

Payment Information

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.  We use secure servers to protect your privacy.  Your credit card will be charged immediately after you submit your order.

Please note that there is a $50 minimum order for money orders.  We do NOT accept personal checks.  You must include your phone number and/or email address in case we have questions regarding your order.   You may experience a delay due to mail collection and/or additional processing time so we strongly encourage you to purchase using our secure online system.

Taxes

Purchased shipped to California residents will be charged a 8.75% sales tax. 

Shipping Information

Every attempt is made to get your order to you as quickly as possible.  Orders typically ship within 24-48 hours after they are submitted.  Most orders are received between 2-5 days following the date of the order.  We use US Priority Mail only which we have found to be the fastest and most efficient way to ship. We generally ship on weekends, even if the order doesn't go out until Monday.  Special arrangements may be made for Express orders---there is a flat rate cost of $25 for the first pound and $2 per pound for each additional pound—please call or email us at askariel1@gmail.com and we will do our best to accomodate your request.  Please note due to scheduling and timing of orders, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do this for you.

Orders will be shipped through US Priority Mail---it is the fastest and most economical way to ship our products.  Our shipping prices are extremely reasonable.  We also purchase a delivery confirmation for every shipment so that every order can be properly tracked.  We want you to get your products as quickly and safely as possible.   

Shipping Costs

Customer service is extremely important to us.  Unfortunately with the rising cost of fuel, we have had to raise the cost of shipping charges.  Our shipping prices are very competitive and we will do our best to ensure your order is received as promptly and safely as possible.  We will research lost orders and do everything we can to show you how important your business is to us!  The following shipping costs apply to orders shipped in the 50 U.S states, including Alaska and Hawaii:

50-$124.99          $9.45
Over $125         FREE + any "heavy weight item surcharge"

Please note the NUPRO, Amazing Omegas, Wildside Salmon Oil and Vitamineral Green products are extremely expensive for us to ship.  We take a loss on the shipping costs.  You will see there is a small additional charge for shipping these products.  In addition Free Shipping applies to orders of  3 pounds or less.  Cross country orders over  3 pounds will be charged additional shipping charges based on US Priority Mail.  If your order is over $125 and includes heavy weight items, we will  assess the minimum heavy weight item surcharge provided it can be included in one flat-rate USPS box.  Additonal shipping charges will apply if more than one USPS box is required.

International Shipping
International Shipping is available by special arrangement.  There is a $100 minimum order for international shipping due to the extra time and paperwork involved.  We use USPS priority mail which is insured and cost effective.  If you are interested in having your order shipped internationally, please contact us by email at 
askariel1@gmail.com and we will give you a shipping quote.  Generally, orders under 3 lbs will cost between $35- $45 for USPS Priority Global.  If you live in Canada, you can place the order directly online and the shipping cost for orders under 3 lbs is $40.  Please note that if you order Nupro, Amazing Omegas, Wildside Salmon Oil or Vitamineral Green, shipping charges will be a few dollars higher as these items are heavier in weight. 

Gift Purchases and Gift Certificates

If you would like to purchase a gift for someone, we will be glad to accommodate your request.  We can include a personal message and ship the gift directly to the recipient.  We can also issue a personalized gift certificate on your behalf.  Please call or email us so that we can make special arrangements to make your gift a memorable one!
