K9 CurcuMagic For Dogs

60 Softgels

Formulated For Dogs Over 15 Pounds

After many years of carrying Ask Ariel's Curcumin For Pets, we faced increasing supply chain challenges. While researching alternatives, we discovered the new patented formula in K9 CurcuMagic and put it to the test. The product lived up to its name. While we are so excited to introduce this new formula to you, we do regret that the softgel dosage is only appropriate for dogs over 15 pounds.

What Are The Benefits Of Curcumin For Dogs?

Research shows that curcumin is a natural anti-inflammatory for dogs. Curcumin also has antioxidant and anticancer properties. It provides effective natural pain relief for dogs. There is extensive scientific research on the benefits of curcumin for dogs. Here are some of the ways curcumin can help your pet:

  • Helps to reduce inflammation
  • Provides natural pain relief
  • Fights free radical damage
  • Provides powerful antioxidant support
  • Supports a healthy immune response
  • Cancer support

Turmeric For Pets Vs. Curcumin For Pets - What's The Difference?

Are turmeric and curcumin the same? Not really. Curcumin is the prized compound found in turmeric. Curcumin is a powerful antioxidant that reduces inflammation and improves mobility. According to the National Cancer Institute, it is important to consider that certain materials (such as turmeric, turmeric extracts, curcuminoid-enriched materials) often referred to as curcumin, are not identical to the pure, single-chemical entity. Adding a little turmeric spice powder to a pet's diet will not have the same effect as using a curcumin supplement. A half teaspoon of turmeric (a lot to give to a pet due to the strong smell and flavor) contains about 15 mg of curcumin vs one softgel of Ask Ariel's K9 CurcuMagic that contains 325 mg.

How Curcumin Can Help Your Dog:

  • Curcumin Relieves Arthritis Pain & Improves Mobility
Curcumin is an effective natural anti-inflammatory for dogs. Curcumin helps pets that are slowing down, having difficulty getting up or showing signs of stiffness or joint pain. It helps to improve mobility, reduce swelling and provides pain relief for dogs. Researchers recently published a human study* that compared the effectiveness of curcumin versus ibuprofen when used to treat arthritis pain. Curcumin performed just as well as the ibuprofen.

Curcumin works well as a complementary therapy for dogs that have been prescribed NSAIDs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Long-term use of NSAIDs can pose a potential risk of liver or kidney damage. By using a turmeric supplement for dogs along with NSAIDs, you may be able to reduce the amount of medication your pet needs. The results from a recent study published in Veterinary Immunology and Immunopathology** show that curcumin provides anti-inflammatory support for arthritis treatment in dogs. K9 CurcuMagic is helpful for dogs with hip and elbow dysplasia, torn ACL ligaments and other injuries.

  • Curcumin Targets Cancer Cells
According to doctors at the Mayo Clinic, a leading medical research institute, scientific studies suggest that curcumin may help prevent cancer, slow the spread of cancer, increase the effectiveness of chemotherapy and protect healthy cells during radiation therapy.* Curcumin is one of the most extensively researched natural supplements for cancer.

Research** shows that curcumin, the primary polyphenol compound in turmeric, targets cancer stem cells while not harming normal stem cells. Cancer stem cells fuel tumor growth. As normal stem cells divide and renew, they help to repair and replace damaged cells in the body. Since Curcumin selectively targets and destroys cancer stem cells, it is an excellent complement to cancer treatments prescribed by your veterinarian or veterinary oncologist.

  • Curcumin Supports A Healthy Gallbladder
Curcumin can be beneficial for dogs with gallbladder issues due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and choleretic properties. Curcumin can reduce inflammation in the gallbladder and bile ducts, which may help alleviate pain and discomfort. Its antioxidant properties help protect the liver and gallbladder from oxidative stress and damage, contributing to overall better health for your dog.

Curcumin's ability to stimulate bile production and flow can help prevent the formation of gallstones and support overall gallbladder function. The antimicrobial effects of curcumin may also help prevent infections in the gallbladder, further promoting a healthier biliary system.

  • Curcumin Helps Reduce Inflammation
Inflammation can affect a pet's health in many ways. Digestive diseases, like IBD or acid reflux, can result from chronic intestinal and GI inflammation that gets worse over time. Food and environmental allergies cause inflammation to the skin, mucous membranes and respiratory system. Other conditions such as arthritis and cancer are also linked to inflammation. Several trials and research studies have demonstrated the efficacy of curcumin as an anti-inflammatory agent. One study* found curcumin to be effective when treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colitis. Another clinical review** shows a possible therapeutic effect of curcumin on respiratory, allergic, and immunologic disorders due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Provides Powerful Antioxidant Protection
Curcumin is a potent antioxidant* that can help to limit free radical damage and boost your dog's immune system. Antioxidants scavenge for free radicals and reduce cell damage caused by oxidation. This may slow down aging and degeneration and lessen inflammation in your dog's body.

Why Choose K9 CurcuMagic For Your Dog?

  • Complex of All Three Curcuminoids Plus Turmeric Essential Oil for Maximum Effectiveness
K9 CurcuMagic is a patented, unique composition of three curcuminoids along with turmeric essential oil. These bioactive, health-promoting curcuminoids for dogs: curcumin, bisdemethoxycurcumin and demethoxycurcumin, are the strongest, most protective and best-researched constituents of the herb turmeric. K9 CurcuMagic includes turmeric essential oil to act as a complementary bio enhancer. Ask Ariel's K9 Curcumagic is 100% curcumin. Clinical studies show that this scientifically extracted combination scavenges and neutralizes harmful existing free radicals, but may also prevent or reduce their formation. These antioxidants help protect and support your pet's organs.

  • Veterinarian-Recommended Natural Anti-Inflammatory for Dogs
Curcumin (turmeric) shows excellent safety in clinical studies. Curcumin has been demonstrated to be safe in many human trials and has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity. Excessive inflammation is a common risk factor for disease occurrence and progression. Inflammation may lead to lack of mobility, pain, achiness, joint stiffness, cancer, brain degenerative conditions and other pet health issues. Curcumin or turmeric for dogs has been helpful in reducing inflammation, whether acute or chronic, caused by physical injury, joint wear and tear (as in osteoarthritis) and inflammatory conditions such as hip or elbow dysplasia.

K9 CurcuMagic is made with genuine, patented Arjuna Natural BCM-95® (CURCUGREEN®),
one of the highest quality and most researched bioavailable curcumin products available.

  • Bioavailable Form for Optimal Absorption
While there are many benefits of curcumin, it is not absorbed well by the body and the poor bioavailability limits its benefits. Ask Ariel’s K9 CurcuMagic is manufactured with BCM-95® which synergistically combines curcumin with the essential oils in turmeric through a patented process. This can greatly increase the absorption of curcumin in your dog more than a standard turmeric 95% supplement. Thus, K9 CurcuMagic is going to have more beneficial results for dogs than just sprinkling turmeric spice on your pet's food. Combining curcumin with omega 3 fatty acids, such as Amazing Omegas, can also help to increase absorption.

A Note About Administration

K9 CurcuMagic comes in a bright orange gelcap. Unfortunately, due to its manufacturing process, it is not possible to divide for smaller pets. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, especially if you were purchasing Ask Ariel's Curcumin previously. If you have a cat or small dog, please consider Happy Paws Drops and Ultra-Flex Collagen for joint support and pain relief. They are easy to administer to small pets.

Product FAQs
K9 CurcuMagic | Curcumin for Dogs Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is a natural anti-inflammatory for dogs and cats?

Curcuma longa (turmeric) contains over two dozen anti-inflammatory compounds that reduce inflammation and relieve the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. In human research studies, turmeric supplements that contain at least 20% curcuminoids are just as effective as ibuprofen. Look for a natural anti-inflammatory supplement that contains concentrated and bioavailable curcuminoids for maximum absorption and effectiveness.

What is golden paste for dogs and cats?

Golden paste is commonly used for dogs and cats to help alleviate pain and inflammation. Golden paste is made from turmeric and coconut oil. The amount of active curcuminoids in turmeric spice is quite low, offering only a minimal benefit. Curcumin supplements for pets can offer a much higher concentration of anti-inflammatory compounds.

Are turmeric and curcumin the same?

Curcumin is the prized compound found in the turmeric root. It has amazing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Turmeric, turmeric extracts and curcuminoid-enriched materials all have different levels of pure curcumin. Adding a teaspoon of turmeric to your dog or cat’s food will not have the same effect as using a potent pet-friendly supplement.

What is the best way to give curcumin to my dog or cat?

Curcumin is not well absorbed by the digestive tract so administering it with a meal can improve absorption. Curcumin is fat soluble, so it absorbs better if your pet ingests it along with fats such as coconut oil or Omega 3 fatty acids. Also, when choosing a curcumin supplement for your dog or cat, look for one that contains an emulsifier such as sunflower lecithin to improve absorption. This increases the effectiveness for your pet and provides you with the maximum value for your purchase.
